Surveys and Valuation Inspections During the Covid-19 Pandemic
We will continue to provide Surveys and Valuations to our clients, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we have changed the way we will approach carrying out inspections to reduce the risk of spreading or contracting the disease.
The recent Government document; ‘Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19) in other people’s homes’, outlines guidance on social distancing that will be strictly followed to keep our surveyors and our customers safe. You can read the full document here: Latest Guidance
Whenever possible we will ask the property occupier to vacate the property for the duration of the inspection (even if it is just to sit in the garden) but appreciate this will not always be possible.
Where it is not possible for the occupier to leave the property we will:
- Wear PPE including facemask and gloves
- Keep a safe distance of 2-metres between the surveyor and occupier
- Wash down surfaces we touch with disinfectant wipes
Prior to the inspection we will contact the owner/occupier to ask if any members of the household have come into contact with Covid-19. If they have we will postpone the inspection until such time as it is safe to go ahead. If any occupier is showing symptoms of the Coranavirus the inspection will be ended immediately.
We hope all of our customers and their families stay safe and well during these troubled times and ask you to join us in helping to stay virus free.
